So yesterday I was in charge of doing the Pastoral Prayer in the church service. My family was there with me - my wife, my 4-year old daughter, and my 2-year old daughter... all sitting in the 3rd row.
I got up and said the prayer, and right after I said, "Amen" my 2-year old daughter said loud and clear, "Thank you Daddy!"
It was a very precious moment that made my heart melt. And then after service 4 different people came up to me at separate moments and repeated, "Thank you daddy" with huge smiles on their faces and told me how endearing that was.
These are the moments that are treasured and kept in that soft spot in my heart where I can reflect back on them during times that are more challenging. Thanks MuMu for making my day and melting my heart!

Hi Ryan:
Thanks for sharing this moment with everyone...we're all God's children and your daughter reminded us of that...how sweet.
All the best to you and your family.

Sometimes I think it's in our children we realize we are important and deeply needed here on Earth. I have 3 kids and when I encounter a moment like that, it does indeed melt your heart. I'm glad you're sensitive enough to see the "sweetness" in moments like that.
